Bazaruto & Kruger

Day 1. Depart UK for Johannesburg

Day 2. After clearing customs and immigration, take an onward flight to Vilanculos and transfer by light aircraft to Bazaruto Lodge, 7-nights [FB]

Bazaruto Lodge has 25 'A-frame' thatched roofed, en-suite bungalows set amongst lush tropical gardens. The African decor, combined with the 'Deserted Treasure Island' ambience of the location, adds to the charm of the lodge.

The resort has one main restaurant, where dinner is announced by the sound of African drums. Lunch is a light meal, served by the pool, or a picnic basket on the beach. The resort offers a unique combination of beauty, security and relaxation that makes it the perfect spot for nature lovers as well as divers and sea sport enthusiasts. Facilities include a swimming pool, games room and local craft shops. Activities include diving, snorkelling, dhow boat excursions, boat trips to the island of Santa Carolina (picnic can be included), water skiing and 4x4 Jeep excursions.

Day 9. Fly to Kruger, Nkorho Bush Lodge, 3-nights [FB]

Nkorho Bush Lodge in Sabi Sand Game Reserve shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park resulting in diverse wildlife, from birds and antelopes to the 'Big Five'. A relaxed atmosphere is assured by the personal service of the owners, Dirk and Jacqui. Guests are accommodated in comfortable en-suite, thatched chalets with all the necessary amenities. All chalets have ceiling fans and either a bath or shower. Spend the morning game viewing and the afternoons relaxing after lunch in the unique rock pool. As the day draws to a close, feel the thrill as the nocturnal animals rule the night. You are lured to indulge in typical African cuisine around an open fire in a traditional leadwood boma.

Day 12. Depart for UK via Johannesburg [B]

Day 13. Arrive home.
