This small boutique property is a short drive from Inhambane and perfectly located along a beautiful beach overlooking the Indian Ocean, home to manta rays and whale sharks.
Located on Praia do Tofo, the hotel features 13 guestrooms including two suites, all with an in room safe, air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom. The deluxe and suite rooms feature a TV. Standard rooms offer sunset or sea views. WiFi internet access is available throughout the ground level. The atmosphere is relaxed and it’s a place where the enjoyment of your surroundings is contagious.
Facilities at the Tofo Mar include a restaurant and bar with outdoor and indoor dining at a prime location on the beachfront, serving fresh local ingredients with a Portuguese twist. For larger groups, there are conference facilities for up to 80 people. Water sports such as surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing are available and the dive centre is on-site.
Tofo’s longest operating dive centre is a PADI 5-star IDC facility offering a comprehensive range of courses and daily boat diving to the 20+ local sites. The professional and experienced team offer a high standard of diver training in a safe and relaxed environment.
Experienced divers will enjoy diving from one of the three well equipped RIBs that operate daily to the local reefs. Expect reefs teeming with life, sharks, rays, turtles, mantas, whale sharks and humpbacks in season. The waters are generally warm throughout the year.
Facilities include a training pool, classroom and café. A full range of Scubapro equipment is available to rent as well as both 12 and 15 litre tanks. Nitrox is available (up to 40%).
Seasonal ocean safaris operate as a full day snorkelling adventure in the hope of a whale shark encounter in season (Nov-Apr).
