Morrungulo is Mozambique’s latest diving region. Lying around two and a half hours north of Tofo, this exciting new diving destination boasts a vast expanse of pristine beach and coastline and some impressive diving opportunities far from any crowds.
The reef system here features a plateau sloping down to around 30 metres and stretching up to 20 kilometres from shore, creating a vast playground for scuba divers. Marine life highlights found on this largely unexplored reef system include an abundance of large rays, including manta rays and eagle rays, turtles, dolphin and plentiful shark encounters. Humpback whales are also seen in the area between July and October.
