Our carefully selected range of luxury resorts and liveaboards offer exceptional experience, both in terms of the quality of scuba diving and the standards of accommodation and service. Although we use a variety of properties, our preference is for small, characterful and owner-managed properties. Most crucially, these must provide access to the best dive sites in the area.
Luxury diving in the Caribbean
Those looking to enjoy the beautiful turquoise waters and quintessential charm of the Caribbean will find a home from home at the award-winning Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada, set on one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches. Nestled behind 400 metres of private beach, the exceptional Harbour Village Beach Club in Bonaire is another favourite of ours.
In Belize, Hamanasi Resort is considered one of the region’s finest and is a great choice for divers and non-divers. Turneffe Island Resort, on the outer atolls, provides more rustic luxury and the best access to the country’s top dive sites.
Luxury diving in the South Pacific
Dotted with picture-perfect islands fringed by pristine coral reefs, the South Pacific is a region almost without equal for a luxury diving holiday.
Fiji is dubbed the ‘soft coral capital of the world’ and boasts some wonderful choices. Paradise Taveuni is a case in point, offering exceptional diving and snorkelling starting right in front of the resort. Also in Taveuni, Matangi Private Island Resort provides a level of intimacy and exclusivity that will charm and delight in equal measure. For liveaboard lovers, both the S/Y Fiji Siren and the Fiji Nai’a provide wonderful diving itineraries throughout the year.
Tahiti’s incredible islands and thrilling diving rank at the top of many divers’ wish lists, while the resorts do not disappoint. We suggest the wonderful Kia Ora Village in Rangiroa or the Pearl Resort, Tikehau for barefoot luxury and outstanding scuba diving. For those that prefer the added comforts and choice of a larger cruise vessel, the luxurious Paul Gauguin offers scuba diving around the many islands that make up Tahiti.
Luxury diving in Southeast Asia
Southeast Asia is blessed with some wonderful luxury dive resorts, especially for those looking for a more barefoot style of luxury. Misool Eco Resort in Raja Ampat, Indonesia not only provides access to the world’s finest coral reefs and greatest marine diversity. This exclusive and remote private island resort also offers every comfort for discerning clients.
Also in Indonesia, Wakatobi Dive Resort combines world-class diving in a remote and pristine region with exceptional service and attention to detail, combining beautifully with the elegant Pelagian liveaboard.
On Bali, the jumping off point for many Indonesian adventures, both Matahari Beach Resort and Siddhartha Ocean Front Resort are ideal options for a luxury diving break, or as part of a longer holiday.
The elegant Dewi Nusantara liveaboard, or ‘goddess of the archipelago’ pampers guests while visiting some of the most remote and pristine reefs in this incredible nation of islands. Another beautiful vessel built in the local ‘phinisi’ style, the MSV Amira offers superb diving itineraries, varying their route to offer the finest diving.
In the Philippines, Atmosphere Resort & Spa comes highly recommended, especially for lovers of smaller marine life and photography. Amun Ini, tucked away in a quiet corner of eastern Bohol, is another great option for those looking to be spoilt while experiencing world-class scuba diving. For guests looking to explore farther afield, we can recommend both the S/Y Philippine Siren and Atlantis Azores liveaboard.
Luxury diving in the Indian Ocean
In the Maldives, great scuba diving and exceptional beach resorts abound. For something really special however, we suggest heading south to the outstanding Medhufushi Island Resort & Spa. The resort offers a wonderful blend of five star luxury, picture perfect vistas and pristine marine environments to enjoy away from the crowds.
