Siddhartha is a boutique dive resort located on the beach in the village of Kubu in northeast Bali with stunning architecture and a beautiful tropical setting.
In spite of the luxury, the mood here remains informal and relaxed, all at an affordable price. Set amongst landscaped tropical gardens the boutique property consists of 30 bungalows and three private villas. The individual bungalows are light and spacious with modern furnishings. Two of the superior ones are connected, ideal for families or friends. All feature a double bed (some deluxe have twin) with en-suite part-open natural stone bathroom with two showers and a furnished verandah. Amenities include air-conditioning, minibar, safe and hairdryer. All five of the oceanfront deluxe bungalows feature a king bed facing the sea. The villas offer spectacular ocean views and feature two bedrooms, a living area and swimming pool.
The traditional architecture of the property extends to the restaurant. Built in a local style near the sea, guests enjoy fine dining in a harmonious setting with local, Asian and international cuisine as well as an extensive wine list available. The centrally located swimming pool and bar is a social place for guests, especially during daily happy hour. The resort features a fitness centre, multi-function room, TV lounge, games area (darts, pool, table football) and a boutique. There are regular Balinese cultural evenings and culinary classes are available. Daily yoga classes are available to guests in the ocean front gazebo. The Six Elements Spa uses locally sourced exclusive products and offers a comprehensive range of treatments and massages. Local tours and excursions can be booked from resort. Complimentary WiFi internet access is available throughout resort.
Located on the northeast coast of Bali, the resort is a three hour drive from Bali International Airport.
Siddhartha Dive Centre
The on-site dive centre is SSI and PADI affiliated offering a full range of courses for all the family. All the popular local dive sites of Kubu and Tulamben are a short drive or boat ride away. However, it’s the stunning house reef that you will want to spend your time on.
The reef stretches 350 metres and has six entry/exit points. It's full of magnificent hard corals, fans and an abundance of colourful fish, rare crabs, critters and the occasional shark. Entry points 1-4 have an orientation line with a depth of around 20 metres. The dives are on a gentle slope with coral bommies and sand patches. Here you can expect to see several species of moray, rays, nudibranch, ghost pipefish, rays, sweetlips and turtles. Entry points 5 and 6 are a little deeper with no orientation line. Expect to see garden eels, flounder, octopus, plenty of life amongst the corals and barracudas hovering in the mild current. The Boga wreck is a short swim away. Night dives are possible on the house reef.
