Oman and Djibouti offer some of the most unspoiled diving the Middle East has to offer. Unlike Egypt's Red Sea the area has only just opened up to tourists and so has not been visited by thousands of divers, corals are intact and fresh and dive centres are small and professionally operated. Oman is ideally situated to attract ocean creatures and shoals of Pelagics. The most northerly region of Oman is the dramatic Musandam Peninsula, known as the 'Norway of Arabia' thanks to its sheltered fjords, where towering cliffs descend into the water and coral encrusted drop-offs fall to great depths.

Djibouti is so unspoiled that travellers are often treated as curios, treated to the country's boisterous blend of colonial French and modern Arabic charm. Diving and snorkelling is fabulous, with the opportunity to dive and snorkel with baby, yet giant, Whale Sharks in 'Whale Shark kindergarten.'

Above water Oman offers many activities, with mountains and deserts to be explored and the hospitality of the Bedouin culture to enjoy. Djibouti offers fewer attractions, yet its underwater sites more than make up for any lack of major land attractions. With the Ghoubet Pass, one of the regions most beautiful dives, being a favourite meeting place for Barracuda, Sailfish and sharks.
