Remote and unspoiled, Hamata is the most southerly resort area of the Egyptian Red Sea. Suited to divers of all abilities, and with easy access to Fury Shoal, the area is suited to those who like to keep away from the crowds and relax.
Relatively untouched and less frequently visited than other locations in the Red Sea, Hamata is an area of natural beauty with fantastic diving experiences both on the local reefs and more popular sites at Fury Shoal, a pristine reef system with a variety of sites from shallow coral gardens to spectacular drop-offs.
Land temperature ranges from an average of 20°C in winter to 30°C in the summer months. Underwater highlights include a colourful marine life on the pristine fringing reef as well as the opportunity of pelagic encounters further offshore. Expect to encounter bottlenose dolphins, and several species of shark.
Hamata is a two and a half hour drive south from Marsa Alam airport.
