Milne Bay

Milne Bay is situated between the Solomon and Coral Seas, which surge back and forth, flushing plankton-rich waters with crystal clear blue water and causing a frantic profusion of marine growth. The scene of heavy fighting in WWll, the entire region is littered with wrecks.

  • Ideal for viewing: manta ray, scalloped hammerhead shark, green turtle, pygmy seahorse, mimic octopus

New Britain – Kimbe Bay

A chain of dormant volcanoes form the scenic boundaries of Kimbe Bay, on the north side of the island of New Britain. 70 percent of all coral species in the Indo-Pacific region are found in and around New Britain, and no other dive area in the world can boast such diversity.

  • Ideal for viewing: scalloped hammerhead shark, grey reef shark, white-tip reef shark, barracuda, common dolphin

New Ireland – Kavieng

Kavieng is noted for its ancient Malagan culture and the shark callers of Kontu, however the channels between these islands also offer huge excitement for divers. As well as pelagic encounters and prolific WWII wrecks, the lagoons and mangroves serve as nurseries.

  • Ideal for viewing: grey reef shark, spotted eagle ray, devil ray, pygmy seahorse, mimic octopus

Tufi offers a unique environment for divers: sponges and corals play host to a macro wonderland on the walls of the fjords, while the outer reef experience is unsurpassed, with dozens of world-class dive sites, spectacular marine life and untouched WWII wrecks.
