Dive with the world’s most feared, and most famous shark on board the Princess II. The ultimate diving adventure!
Maximise your time with great white sharks by joining the Princess ll on short expeditions around the Neptune Islands. By staying out on location, there are no daily transfer hassles to detract from your dive time and the boat offers unmatched comfort in terms of accommodation, entertainment and facilities. With amazing wildlife, sunrises and sunsets all around, you have all the time you need to fully enjoy the experience of a lifetime.
The trip offers unrivalled access to cage dives, with 12 full time diver positions available in three surface cages. In addition, a very special feature of this vessel is the ocean floor diving. The cage is lowered to the bottom, offering an unforgettable experience of great whites swimming around and above you. Mature great white sharks in South Australia can exceed four metres in length. Non-divers will enjoy spectacular topside views of the sharks and the chance to encounter wildlife on visits to the unique islands.
The boat departs Port Lincoln, a 45 minute flight from Adelaide. The main viewing season is May-Oct when the growing seal pups start to venture further from the safety of the shore and start hunting for themselves. This provides a natural food source for the sharks and in turn, more natural predation events are witnessed. Huge females are seen more reliably from May-Jul and the most sharks are recorded from Jul-Oct. Average water temperature is 16°C.
Great White Adventures are a great option for non-divers. The itinerary includes two nights on board and surface cage adventure.
For qualified divers, the Great White Expeditions include three nights on board and ocean floor diving - a unique experience.
