Planning Your Dive Trip
When planning your diving holiday to the Maldives, it’s essential to consider the time of year, the location, and the type of diving you want to do.
The Maldives has a tropical climate, influenced by two monsoons: the southwest from May to November and northeast from December to April.
During the southwest season, choose resorts with access to dive sites on the west side of the atolls for spectacular diving and encounters with manta rays. If you're interested in diving with whale sharks, we recommend visiting Baa Atoll in August and September.
In the northeast monsoon, the best diving switches to the eastern side of the atolls - mantas have migrated east, the currents are faster, visibility is clearer and there's an abundance of marine life. For gentler currents, visit during March and April.
Whichever style represents your perfect diving adventure, and whether you’re a beginner, an experienced diver or perhaps a snorkeller, the Maldives has something to offer everyone. Our friendly team are here to make those dreams come true.
