Discover the Maldives in luxury onboard the Spirit of Maldives. This purpose build vessel provides as personalised service to each guest and exceptional dining, an unforgettable experience without compromising style, comfort, or safety.

The Spirit of Maldives is a spacious liveaboard, spread over four decks with cabins on three of them. All cabins feature a modern en suite bathroom and air-conditioning. The lower deck accommodates seven “Cosy Standard Cabins” with a queen and single bed in all but one, plus sizeable porthole to allow in natural light. The main deck has the largest cabins, two “Spacious Suites” are fitted with a king-sized bed, generous bathroom, and seating area next to oversized windows to watch the passing paradise. On the upper deck are two “Luxury Suites” and two “Elegant Standard Cabins” all with full sized windows. The upper deck standard cabins contain a queen-sized bed, while the suites contain a king-sized bed and an elevated bathroom design.

A spa tub is positioned on the sundeck, is positioned on the sundeck and is functional when the vessel is stationary, and the spacious lounge leads into the open dining area. All meals are served buffet style, the quality of food is always important to the chefs and is reflected in each meal. A beach barbecue is conducted on central atoll itineraries. Dietary requirements can be accommodated for with notice. Satellite internet is available at additional cost. 

Diving is conducted by a purpose-built 20 metre dhoni. A dedicated area for cameras allows travellers to set up in comfort. Nitrox is free of charge for qualified divers, and equipment hire is available at additional cost. 

The Spirit of Maldives has curated a range of itineraries in more tranquil and remote waters, each designed to put you in the right place at the right time. The vessel covers a variety of areas seasonally, from Alifu Atoll to Addu Atoll. Diving the Maldives northern atolls allows you to escape the crowds and visit dive sites rarely seen, geologically the oldest islands in the Maldives, the reefs are well established with a mix of hard and soft corals. Thila and reef dives allow encounters with manta rays and schooling sharks. From March to April, the deep water of the Eight Degree Channel is visited by blue whales and sperm whales. While in May to October, the Spirit of Maldives focuses its time around Baa Atoll and the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Hanifaru Bay, where large numbers of manta rays and whale sharks congregating to feed on the plankton swept in by the prevailing current. Dive sites such as Horobadhoo Thila and the Shipwreck Graveyard are highlights too.

The Maldives central atolls is a tried and tested route that delivers. Showcasing manta ray cleaning stations, blue and yellow soft coral caves, pinnacles teeming with life and the favourite whale shark and hammerhead dive sites. The deep south Maldives and equatorial islands are best visited from November to April. The channel diving is thrilling with massive schools of pelagic fish, sharks, and rays. Hook onto the reef at the corner and enjoy the spectacle before drifting with the currents, surrounded by a vibrant array of colourful reef fish. In the south lies the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Fuvahmulah where a plateau at 30 metres draws in hammerhead sharks, thresher sharks, silver tips sharks, grey reefs sharks, and the elusive tiger shark. 

The dhoni is also used for beach landing excursions to have an island barbecue and watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean. Conservation presentations are conducted by the knowledgeable guides, promoting marine awareness and education. Excursions to local villages show authentic life on these paradise islands.
