There are a number of suitable resorts and guesthouses for those looking to learn to dive. We recommend ERI Maldives due to its proximity to Malé, colourful reefs and professional dive centre.
Learning to dive is easy and it’s fun. Your PADI Open Water course will take four days to complete. In this course, you will learn basic dive theory and master the basic skills needed to be safe and comfortable while exploring the underwater world.
Once you've learnt to dive, there are plenty of world-class sites to explore in the Maldives.
Suggested Itinerary

Day 1:
Depart the UK for Malé

Day 2:
Arrive and transfer to island resort
You will be met on arrival and transferred by speedboat to ERI Maldives for a week long stay. This afternoon you will need to check in with the dive centre in preparation for your course.

Days 3-6
:
Learn to dive in the Maldives
Euro Divers Eriyadu are the on-site dive centre and today you will begin your PADI Open Water course with their experienced dive crew. The course is a mix of theory, pool and open water dives in the sea.
Your price Includes tuition and all equipment required but you will need to pay for your manual and certification fees locally.

Days 7-8

Leisure time
Your final two days on the island can be spent relaxing, continuing with your diving (booked and paid for locally) or getting involved with other activities available.

Day 9:
Depart
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to the UK landing later the same day or the following morning, depending on flight schedules.
