The adventure begins in Nassau, diving colourful walls and famous wrecks, a must-do experience for any diver visiting the Bahamas. Continue to Cat Island, where seasonal encounters with oceanic white-tip sharks are the order of the day. Spend your days drifting along in the crystal clear waters observing these magnificent creatures whilst diving and snorkelling.
Due to the nature of the diving, divers must be a minimum advanced diver qualified to join the trip.
Suggested Itinerary
Day1: Fly to Nassau
You will be met on arrival and transferred to your accommodation in Nassau. Check in for a two night stay. Rest of day at leisure.
Day2: Dive Nassau
Enjoy two boat dives this morning exploring the walls, reefs and wrecks around Nassau. There are 36 local dive sites, you will begin on a wall and the second dive will be decided according to the local conditions.
Day3: Fly to Cat Island
Enjoy a leisurely morning followed by a transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Cat Island. You will be met on arrival and transferred to the delightful Greenwood Beach Resort for a seven night stay. Evening at leisure.
Days4-8: Oceanic white-tip adventure
The next five days are spent in the calm, crystal clear waters around Cat Island enjoying reliable pelagic encounters with inquisitive oceanic white-tip sharks. Recommended for advanced divers, plenty of time is spent diving and snorkelling whilst drifting in the blue. The sharks tend to remain close to the surface allowing for plenty of photographic opportunities.
Day9: Day at leisure
Today is for relaxing, walking along the miles of deserted beaches around Cat Island, or beginning to arrange your shark pictures. It’s also possible to head back to Nassau for this last night of your adventure.
Day10: Depart for the UK via Nassau
Spend your last morning relaxing in paradise before being transferred back to the airport for your domestic flight to Nassau and onwards back to the UK later this evening (overnight flight).
Day11: Arrive UK
