Tongan Highlights
21 days London to London
Situated in the South Pacific Kingdom of Tonga, the Vava'u Island Group is comprised of over 45 tropical islands lying in the south pacific tradewind belt. A semicircular reef system surrounds a great deal of the island group, protecting it from the open ocean swell. Tonga itself is an unspoiled gem with many uninhabited islands.
- Days 1 & 2. Depart London to Tonga
- Days 3 to 5. Fafa Island Resort [RO]
-
Fly into Tongatapu International Airport and transfer to Faua Wharf for your 30 minute boat transfer.
Spend three days unwinding at the Fafa Island Resort, a palm covered, uninhabited island, with shimmering white beaches and a turquoise lagoon surrounded by a reef with magnificent coral and colourful fish. With just 13 traditionally built bungalows and natural beauty Fafa is truly a Robinson Crusoe island.
- Days 6 to 11. Whale Watching on Boat [FB]
-
Humpback Whales arrive in Tonga from July to November, to mate and give birth in Tonga's warm and sheltered waters, affording visitors the unique opportunity to view mothers and calves in close proximity.
Tonga is one of the only places in the world where it is possible to snorkel with these 40-ton magnificent mammals. With many displays of breaching and pectoral slapping, they are truly entertaining!
- Days 12 to 19. Tongan Beach Resort [FB]
-
Spend seven nights diving, snorkelling or just relaxing at The Tongan Beach Resort Vava'u.
