The Spirit of Freedom [FB]

Spirit of Freedom is an elegant air-conditioned vessel, with twelve spacious, en-suite cabins, huge dive deck and a comfortable bar. Even with a full boat (26 guests), everyone can find their own private space, and the Spirit of Freedom's electronic stabilisers make her very comfortable even in high seas. The vessel boasts a luxury salon equipped with wide screen TV, projector and DVD. Diving is mostly from the dive deck, but there are also two tenders and the vessel carries two compressors, so there are always enough full tanks.

Designed to dive and cruise the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea, Spirit of Freedom operates two scheduled departures from Cairns each week. Combine the two itineraries to make a unique seven day/ seven night dive adventure. By including a low level flight to/from Lizard Island the cruising time is cut by twelve hours and you get two extra dives!

Coral Sea, Osprey Reef and Ribbon Reefs departs Cairns 8:30 AM on Thursdays. Cod Hole and Ribbon Reefs three day/ three night departs Cairns at noon Mondays. Special note for both itineraries:

Combine both trips and you get to dive both areas - seven night Ribbon Reefs/Cod Hole & Coral Sea. Monday to Monday, no flights = no weight restrictions! With time to explore Lizard Island and Watsons Bay on Thursday morning. Thursday to Thursday (including two flights between Cairns and Lizard Island). On this itinerary you spend about five hours in Cairns on Monday morning.

    There is an environmental management charge of A$15 to be paid locally and a fuel surcharge of A$12.50 per night (subject to change).
