Turks and Caicos Islands

With the third largest coral reef system in the world and over 300 kilometres of sandy beaches, it is not surprising that the islands are a premier diving and snorkelling destination. The two island chains sit atop a shallow bank separated by an abyssal channel. This meeting place of deep and shallow means huge sponges, healthy corals and a dense concentrations of marine life plus a Mecca for wall diving. The Columbus Passage serves as a major transit line for migrating Humpback Whales, Spotted Eagle, and Manta Rays, turtles and dolphins.
