Located on San Salvador in the southeast of the archipelago, Riding Rock Resort has been welcoming divers and water sports enthusiasts for 50 years.
A purpose built resort, it offers excellent facilities, a friendly casual atmosphere and magnificent ocean views. Accommodation is in two blocks with a choice of standard (overlooking the pool) or deluxe oceanfront. All are air-conditioned and feature modern amenities including cable TV and en-suite bathroom.
Facilities include a swimming pool, restaurant, beautiful white sandy beach on your doorstep and the Driftwood Bar which invites guests to leave a souvenir, their walls decorated from previous visitors. This is a great resort for groups of friends to visit, whereby the standard minimum number of guests on one booking is six individuals.
Riding Rock Dive Centre
Located in the marina complex, the dive centre is SSI and PADI affiliated. The majority of the 50+ dive sites are located on the calm lee side of the island. With over 20 miles of dramatic walls starting in 12 metres of crystal clear water, there is something for everyone to observe. Up to three guided boat dives are offered daily on two custom built dive boats. The healthy reefs are teeming with marine life from nudibranch, crabs and shrimps to barracudas, stingrays and many shark species including the scalloped hammerhead. There are swim-throughs and caverns to explore, and with visibility at an average of 40 metres, underwater photographers will be in their element.
