This hidden getaway is situated in the heart of the Bunaken Marine Park, home to an amazing marine biodiversity and a relaxed pace of life.

Located along the beachfront on the western side of the island, this eco-friendly boutique resort offers guests an elegant and relaxing atmosphere and easy access to Bunaken marine park for both divers and snorkellers.

Set amongst tropical gardens, the resort features a variety of secluded accommodation including garden view, beach view and luxury villas plus a family villa with two bedrooms. Constructed in wood and natural stone, the spacious villas are elegantly furnished with a four poster bed (twin set up available) and feature a private open air bathroom with amenities including a hair dryer, air-conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, a minibar, safe, satellite TV and a terrace and/or sundeck.

Facilities include a restaurant and lounge bar serving both local and European cuisine and a wide selection of imported wines and spirits. There are regular beach barbeque evenings and private dinners are available on request. Relax around the freeform saltwater pool or spend time at the spa where a full range of local treatments and massages are available. The impressive treehouse is an open lounge area on the beach where guests can admire the sunsets overlooking the Manado Tua volcano and enjoy weekly yoga sessions. In addition, there is a dive centre, small gift shop, billiard table, library and WiFi internet access is available in public areas.

Suitable for both divers and snorkellers there are a range of land and sea excursions available. These include sunset cruises, dolphin watching, cooking classes, Manado sightseeing, wildlife trips to Tangkoko and trekking to local volcanoes.

The resort plays an active role in the community supporting, employing and educating the local villagers as well as hosting regular beach clean-ups and operates a turtle sanctuary program.

Travel time to resort is an hour from the airport by car and boat.

Siladen Dive Centre

The on-site PADI 5-star dive centre operates daily boat diving and snorkelling activities and provides a full program of courses (multi-language instructors) for those who want to learn or continue their diving education.

Strategically located in the marine park, visitors have access to over 50 sites, all within easy reach from the resort, consisting of wall, drift (both around the five islands of the park) and muck diving (coastal sites of mainland). Underwater highlights here include meeting Rambo, the resident turtle at Lekuan 1, the colourful marine life on Molas Wreck and Sachiko, one of the best sites for ‘big stuff’ as it’s exposed to the currents. Expect schools of batfish and trevally, Napolean wrasse, red toothed trigger fish, black and white tipped sharks, eagle rays and green and hawksbill turtles as well as plenty of tropical fish and critters amongst the coral reefs.

The fleet of three traditional wooden boats depart each morning for two dives and for a third in the afternoon. Dusk and night dives are available by request. The boats have a marine head and covered seating and are equipped with first aid and oxygen. Drinks, snacks and towels are provided on board.

The local guides have extensive knowledge and experience of the local surroundings and with a diver/guide ratio of 4:1, there is plenty of opportunity for everyone to observe the great and sometimes obscure marine life found here.

Snorkellers can join the boat for a small fee or head out to the reef from the beach directly from resort. Private guides and boats are available and day trips are regularly organised to farther afield diving areas in the region using one of the speedboats.

The dive centre features individual areas for kit and a purpose built camera room. Equipment rental and Nitrox (32%) are available as are a range of aluminium tanks (10, 12 & 15L) with both INT and DIN valves (adaptors available).
