Encompassing Ecuador’s biodiversity above and below the waves, this itinerary takes you from the remote Wolf & Darwin Islands to deep in the Amazonian jungle.
Dive into the remote waters of the Galapagos Islands aboard a liveaboard, encountering iconic species like marine iguanas and playful sea lions. With nutrient-rich currents attracting a bounty of marine species, the summer months bring adult whale sharks and manta rays, while the winter months provide clearer waters ideal for schooling hammerhead sharks.
Venture inland to the lush Amazonian rainforest. Experience the vibrant biodiversity of the Amazon as you navigate the winding waterways, spotting colourful birds, elusive jaguars, and exotic flora along the way. Guided by expert naturalists, uncover the secrets of this pristine ecosystem and witness the delicate balance of life in the jungle.

Day 1:
Fly to Ecuador
Depart the UK for Ecuador, arriving later the same evening. Overnight in a local hotel before continuing your journey.

Day 2:
Fly to the Galapagos & join your liveaboard
Set sail on your Galapagos liveaboard, making one check dive this afternoon.

Days 3-8
:
Dive the Galapagos from your liveaboard
Make your way north-west through the Galapagos Islands, taking in some of the wonderful diving and dramatic volcanic scenery on route. Itineraries vary slightly depending on the vessel.
All will make an overnight crossing for the Wolf & Darwin islands, considered the pinnacle of any Galapagos liveaboard. Up to four dives a day are offered to allow you time to immerse yourselves in these incredible dive sites. A magnet for marine life, these small rocky outcrops are known for regular sightings of hammerheads, whale sharks, eagle rays, sea lions, Galapagos sharks, silky sharks and more.
The penultimate day will allow you to explore one of the islands. These excursions can include the Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz and the Giant Tortoise Breeding Centre.

Day 9:
Disembark & fly to Quito
You disembark this morning and take a domestic flight back to the mainland to spend a night in the historical capital of Ecuador, Quito.

Days 10-13

Travel into the Amazonian Rainforest
This morning, you’re transported by flight and boat into the Amazonia Rainforest for the following three nights. Immerse yourself in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, embarking on guided jungle hikes, canoe excursions, and wildlife spotting adventures. Experience the rich biodiversity of the Yasuní National Park, home to rare species like jaguars, giant otters, and colourful birds.

Day 13:
Travel back to Quito
On your final day in the lodge, you make the return journey to Quito for a final night. Explore historic sites like the Old Town and Mitad del Mundo, indulge in local cuisine, visit the TelefériQo Cable Car for panoramic views, and shop at bustling markets for unique souvenirs.

:
Morning in Quito before returning to the UK
The morning is yours to do as you wish in Quito, with plenty on offer you won't struggle for options.
In the evening, you fly back to the UK, landing the following morning.
