The Galapagos Master operates two diving itineraries exploring the best sites of the Galapagos islands throughout the year. Hop on board for a diving holiday experience of a lifetime.
The 32-metre long steel-hulled vessel features nine cabins accommodating up to 16 passengers. There are four premium cabins on the upper deck which can be configured with a twin or a double bed and a further double bed only on the main deck, all with large windows. The classic cabins are located on the lower deck, with small port hole style windows and can also be configured with a twin or double bed. All cabins feature air-conditioning and have an en-suite bathroom plus plenty of storage space.
There are several communal relaxation areas including the furnished sundeck complete with shaded seating areas. The main deck features a dining area and adjacent bar, a spacious lounge with TV, an indoor camera area with charging points (USA sockets) and ample storage facilities.
The 7 and 10-night itineraries include up to four dives a day and include time at Wolf & Darwin islands, plus land tours on North Seymour and Santa Cruz islands with time at the Charles Darwin Station on the penultimate day. Diving is from one of two pangas accompanying the boat. Water temperature can vary significantly. Although the northern area is a constant 25°C year-round, expect thermoclines and cooler water (15-20°C) in the southern areas. Divers are highly recommended to wear a minimum full 7 mm wetsuit or semi-dry with a hood and vest, or 5mm layers.
Diving in the Galapagos can be strenuous due to its currents and surge, varying water temperatures, limited visibility, and diving from pangas. To join a trip you must have 50 logged dives and be advanced certified. Equipment can be rented, including 15L tanks. Nitrox is available and highly recommended to ensure you enjoy the best possible diving experience in this bucket list destination.
Additional payments paid locally in cash include a USD100 Galapagos National Park Fee and USD20 for a visitors permit.
