Discover Belize’s barrier reef, where seasonal visitors include whale sharks, with a few days exploring the country's mystical and magical interior. A great adventure.

Spend time exploring the dive sites of the barrier reef off the coast of Belize's largest and most popular island, Ambergris Caye. Here you'll have the chance to dive Hol Chan (the Cut) and Shark Ray Alley.

Post diving experiences, it's back to the mainland to enjoy the natural history and rich culture of the Mayan civilisation, plus rainforest adventures and wildlife encounters.

We recommend a week diving on the barrier reef from Ambergris Caye followed by a few nights discovering the culture and jungle wildlife on the mainland.

Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Depart the UK for Belize (via the USA)

Due to flight schedules, your journey normally requires an overnight stay in the USA (on the outward journey only). It is likely this will be in Houston, but may vary depending on flight schedule and route.

  2. Day 2: Arrive Belize & transfer to resort

You will be met on arrival and transferred to your accommodation, where you will spend the next seven nights. Your dive package here includes 6 days/12 boat dives. We recommend a stay at the beachfront Ramon’s Village Resort.

  3. Days 3-8 : Discover Belize diving Ambergris Caye

Belize has the second longest barrier reef in the world and three of the four atolls in the western hemisphere. The diving is fairly easy and has an interesting topography with plenty of marine life. Large colourful sponges and fans dominate the seabed. Expect to see lobster, crabs, nurse sharks, stingrays, grouper, angel fish, turtles and dolphin often swim alongside the boats enroute to the dive sites.

  4. Days 9-11 : Belizean jungle adventure!

Today you transfer back to the mainland and onto your next accommodation. Spend a further three nights in the jungle at Black Rock Lodge (or similar), with time to explore some of the many natural highlights of Belize, including Mayan ruins, outstanding wildlife, caving and adventure sports.

  5. Day 12: Depart Belize

Today you will transferred to the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
  6. Day 13: Arrive UK

Please note: It is possible to spend your time diving in other regions of Belize. Ask us for further details.
