Scandi Divers offers daily diving to more than 40 dive sites around Puerto Galera, guided by experienced instructors and friendly local crew. Situated on the Verde Passage, one of the world's most biodiverse marine environments, Puerto Galera is renowned for its warm waters, excellent visibility, and huge variety of dive experiences.
Divers can choose from a large variety of local sites, including the resort's own 2-kilometre "house reef" and nearby sites with colourful coral reefs, drift dives, wreck sites, thresher sharks and macro-rich muck sites. For experienced divers, Scandi Divers regularly organises full-day trips to Verde Island (minimum five divers), widely regarded as the highlight of diving in Puerto Galera. Dive the famous Drop Off, where vast schools of anthias, jacks, tuna and mackerel gather in nutrient-rich currents. Divers may also encounter moray eels, giant frogfish, hawksbill turtles, enormous sea fans and, on occasion, whale sharks. Qualified divers can also enjoy night and blackwater diving, adding another dimension to the underwater experience.
Located within Scandi Divers Resort, the dive centre provides ample equipment storage, rental gear and Nitrox for certified divers. A full range of PADI courses can also be conducted.
