Lembeh Strait is renowned worldwide for its exceptional biodiversity, attracting marine experts and budding photographers looking for a first class dive experience with smaller, more enigmatic marine life.
The Lembeh Strait is gifted with black volcanic sand, rare and unusual marine creatures of all shapes and colours are hidden amongst this deceptively thriving seascape. Hairy frogfish, stargazers, blue ringed and mimic octopus, wunderpus, bobbit worms, ribbon eels and mantis shrimps can all be found in this area, not to mention the abundance of nudibranch with their glitzy, and often outrageous, patterns.
Flamboyant cuttlefish and squid are also common, along with rhinopias and other benthic species. The dive guides of the Lembeh Strait are famous for their eagle eyes, finding the smallest of creatures in the volcanic sand. Their superhuman-like skills allow each diver to fulfil their dream marine life encounter. Although the macro and muck sites are a big draw, there are a number of dive sites with wonderful coral displays.
This trip takes you to one of the best macro and muck diving locations in the world, based on seven nights at Dive Into Lembeh Resort, this trip can also be conducted at other resorts listed on the resort tab. Lembeh can also easily be paired with Bunaken National Marine Park and Bangka, both with stunning soft corals, shoaling fish, and turtles galore.
