Critters at Lembeh

Located at the heart of the resort, Critters at Lembeh employs an exceptionally knowledgeable dive team offering daily diving and courses certified by PADI and SSI. There's something for everyone, including snorkelling friends.

The fleet of custom-built boats offer divers comfort and plenty of storage areas. Diving in and around the Lembeh Strait is like no other, where an abundance of rare and unusual marine life can be seen, as well as diving along rich and vibrant coral reefs. The sites are characterised by black volcanic sandy slopes littered with natural debris and grey and white sand sites offering a different dimension.

Photographers are well catered for with a state-of-the-art camera room, rental and repair services and a resident photo pro to help get the best of the local marine life, including eight species of frogfish and three species of pygmy seahorse, countless nudibranch and 12 species of octopus. Sightings of all types of marine life are recorded in the Critter Log.

The house reef consists of sand and seagrass leading down a slope with coral bommies and rubble. In addition, there are reef balls attracting additional marine life. It's a shallow site, and highlights include ribbon eels, gobies and batfish, to name a few. Pintu Colada offers a ridgeline of healthy corals, white sand and rubble. Here you can expect sightings of octopus and pipefish, but keep an eye out for something new! It's also a top spot for divers and snorkellers to observe the evening mandarin fish ritual. Head over the Strait to the popular Nudi Falls site, which is a fantastic wall dive with a high density of marine life.

Private guides are available for an additional cost. Snorkellers have dedicated trips, and Nitrox is available.
