One of Sabah’s top diving spots, Lankayan Island is a macro paradise of beautiful hard and soft corals and a multitude of juvenile fish, which combine to create a colourful underwater world.
This tiny jewel-shaped island attracts both divers and non-divers alike to its fertile jungle interior, blue-green waters and coral reefs. Among the 40 dive sites, all only minutes away from the island, divers can explore the Lankayan wreck. They offer magnificent displays of marine life ranging from leopard sharks to tiny ribbon eels. whale sharks are regularly sighted in season and the island is also a nesting site for green and hawksbill turtles.
