The Explorer II is Emperor's largest ever maldives liveaboard, designed with divers in mind with its supporting dive Dhoni and multiple cabin options. All cabins have en suite bathrooms, individually controlled air-conditioning, and ample storage. The lower deck cabins feature a double and single bed, ideal for couples, groups or solo travellers looking to make friends. The main deck suites have a larger footprint, with a king-size double and single bed, while the upper deck suites have large windows and a single and double bed. Emperor Divers guarantee same sex cabin share. If you're a solo traveller who can’t be ‘roomed’ with someone of the same sex, then you get a cabin to yourself with no single supplement.
The main deck houses the air-conditioned indoor lounge and dining area, which is wonderfully spacious. Three meals a day are served buffet-style, a complimentary glass of wine with dinner, and snacks are available between dives. The upper deck features a shaded outdoor seating area and internationally stocked bar, finished to a high standard. The sun deck has ample deck chairs and beanbags, and is the best place to see stunning sea views and watch famous Maldivian sunsets.
All diving is conducted from the 24-metre supporting Dhoni, providing easy access to the best and famous dive sites the Maldives has around Ari Atoll, North and South Male Atoll, and the southern atolls in season. There are four experienced dive guides on board, providing a tailored diving experience for each guest. Emperor's reputation of 'no hidden extras' means complimentary Nitrox, included marine park fees and port fees, and excellent customer service.
A full range of equipment is available to hire, as well as 15L cylinders, and a selection PADI courses can also be conducted.
