Buceo Carey
Situated in the heart of La Paz, Buceo Carey is a family owned and operated dive centre that has been organising diving adventures in the Sea of Cortez for over 30 years, with a reputation for friendly and professional dive excursions.
Daily diving excursions are offered from one of three custom dive boats, each taking up to 12 divers to explore the sites of the Sea of Cortez. Diving days typically begin at 08:00, returning to the dive centre by 15:00, making two dives per day. Buceo Carey has a very strong commitment to safety, and Nitrox is provided at no extra cost for all certified guests.
In addition to daily diving excursions, whale shark snorkelling trips are offered in season, and it's possible to learn to dive on an SNSI Open Water Course. Snorkelling is also available to the Espiritu Santo archipelago. Here, you can interact with a colony of over 650 sea lions in their natural habitat and observe diverse marine life, including cormorants and blue-footed boobies. Snorkelling excursions also includes a visit to Balandra Bay, famous for its seven pristine beaches and the iconic mushroom-shaped rock, a symbol of La Paz.
