Sea Explorers Siquijor
Sea Explorers Siquijor is based onsite at the Salamangka Resort, right on the beachfront. As is a given with Sea Explorers, this dive centre offers a wonderful dive experience with small dive groups up to Siquijor’s remote reefs. Two dives are offered each morning, prior to returning for lunch, and a third dive can be arranged in the afternoon; night dives are available on request. The house reef has a rich biodiversity, with a coral garden and rocky outcrops on golden sand, making it a popular macro and night diving spot with frogfish and scorpion fish.
Diving around Siquijor includes Paliton Sanctuary, where a mini wall houses a delightful mix of hard and soft corals, and giant sponges. Turtles cruise by, and ribbon eels and nudibranchs can be found among the coral garden. This site is suitable for all levels of divers and particularly appeals to underwater photographers.
The Lighthouse dive site has a plunging wall with rich marine life including snappers, groupers, colour anthias and lush coral. Catulayan Sanctuary is a short ride from the dive centre, and is a perfect spot for those who like to take it easy. This shallow site is filled with stargazers, garden eels, and occasionally blue ringed octopus.
The qualified PADI instructors here can offer a range of courses, and equipment is available to rent when needed. Nitrox is available at supplement cost, and there's a dedicated camera room for underwater photographers and videographers. The souvenir shop sells mementoes and a refined range of scuba diving accessories. Safety features include emergency oxygen and first aid kits.
