Phil North

Phil’s fascination with the underwater world began in Thailand, where he completed an open water course in 2002. By 2005 he had the bug and qualified as a Divemaster before working in Indonesia, Malaysia and Egypt. Phil finally settled in Thailand, where he ran an underwater photo and video centre with his wife-to-be. He returned to the UK in 2010 and now, as Manager, relishes helping others enjoy the world's best diving destinations.

Cath Bates

Cath spent 11 years as an instructor in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, where she specialised in both technical diving and conservation. It was here that she logged over 6,000 of her many dives. Her love of travel began during this time and she has explored much of Southeast Asia during Busman’s holidays! Cath now works as a sales consultant at Dive Worldwide and is also a freelance writer for the dive press and keen underwater photographer.

Jo Charter

Jo has been surrounded by divers since she was young, going on her first dive in her early teens and nearly 20 years later she hasn’t stopped! She qualified as an instructor in 2016 while spending time in Bali, and has been lucky enough to visit the Galapagos, Maldives, Red Sea, and Indonesia to name a few. To her, a holiday is only a real holiday if she's getting under the water.

Jobi Chan

Jobi started her working life as a travel journalist and during her time travelling made the most of any opportunity to dive. Following an advanced open water course and diving master course in Asia, Jobi became a PADI diving instructor and spent time as a diving instructor in the Maldives. For the last 15 years she has worked a travel consultant in Hong Kong and has travelled extensively visiting over 90 countries.

Philippa Anderson

Philippa (aka Flipper) learnt to dive in 1997 on a gap year to Australia and has not looked back. She has dived and travelled extensively for the last 20 years in Egypt, the South Pacific and Indonesia among others. With experience as an Instructor, Liveaboard Cruise Director and now Dive Travel Consultant, Philippa has been lucky enough to encounter a range of marine life from pygmy seahorse to saltwater crocodiles!

Anna Williams

Anna started her dive career in Croatia, Wales and Tobago, moving on to Belize, where she spent nearly ten years instructing. She moved to the Pacific Ocean via Mexico, the Red Sea, New Zealand and the Marshall Islands. Anna then managed a small dive centre on the island of Sulawesi near Lembeh and Bangka islands in Indonesia, exploring the fantastic diving of Raja Ampat, Nusa Lembongan, Ambon and Saparua.

Georgia Randalls

Georgia learnt to dive in Australia in 2010, where she quickly fell in love. Her fascination quickly evolved into a passion and she soon qualified as an instructor and has been diving ever since. She has been lucky enough to travel and dive extensively across the world, with highlights including diving with whale sharks in Thailand, wreck diving in the Caribbean and experiencing the beauty of manta rays in Australia.

Sarah Wight

We're deeply saddened that Sarah aka 'Swight' lost her battle with cancer on 17 December 2023. Her smile, humour and enthusiasm brightened our lives, and we'll miss her terribly. Sarah was Product Manager for the past 13 years, and in that time created numerous magical diving adventures. The relationships Sarah built meant everything to her, and she touched the lives of many. Our diving community has lost one of its brightest shining stars, and our thoughts go out to all her family.

Nigel Cass

We're devastated to share the news that Nigel Cass, our dear colleague and friend, passed away in December 2023 after a short illness. Nigel simply loved diving (along with cheese and gardening) and took immense pleasure from making others' diving dreams come true. He was a true gentleman and his kind manner, infectious enthusiasm and bubbly personality touched everyone he met. We will all miss Nigel terribly, and our thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Teresa Bennett

After many years working in travel, Teresa branched out in 2000 to form Dive Worldwide with Chris Breen. This has not stopped the itchy feet, so whenever possible Teresa is off exploring new destinations. She loves nothing better than to explore some of the remote areas, with a special affinity for the Pacific and their many islands. When not negotiating with tourist boards, airlines and suppliers, she oversees our product development.

Nick Joynes

Nick gave up a career in television production to travel around the world, and returned with a serious case of the travel bug. He worked as a leader and tour operations manager before settling behind a desk to help Chris establish an educational travel company, which he ran for several years. Nick oversees the development of technology that drives the product, marketing, sales and finances of the business.

Chris Breen

Chris managed a lodge and worked as a safari guide in Zambia's Luangwa Valley way back when. Subsequent experience in the UK travel industry led him to want to do it properly – which led to the founding of Wildlife Worldwide in 1992. Chris has also been known to dip his head under the water on a number of occasions. Extremely well travelled, he's widely known throughout the travel industry.

Sally Emden

Sally has worked for specialist travel companies for over 20 years and brings a wealth of knowledge of sales and marketing. Now combining her passion for travel and nature, she is delighted to head up the marketing team at Dive Worldwide. Her favourite travel experiences include getting up close to polar bears in Canada, whale-watching in New Zealand and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.

Katie Hale

Katie gained her PADI open water qualification in Bali in 2017 before completing her advanced qualification in Koh Tao, Thailand. Since then she's enjoyed diving in Vietnam and Tenerife, where encounters with turtles and mantas feature in some of her most beloved diving memories. Now part of our Marketing Team, Katie is our in-house writer and enjoys bringing our diving holidays to life.

Sue Noakes

An indeterminate time ago Sue left a responsible job as sales manager with a tour operator and headed off to travel the world. Inevitably that experience brought about change and she married her travelling companion on their return. While now looking after various aspects of our marketing, Sue’s other main love is horses – to the extent that we’re no longer sure of the ranking order between horses, family and travel.

Estelle Somers

Whilst growing up in South Africa, Estelle developed a deep love for the natural world and travel, and has followed this love throughout her life. With extensive travel industry experience and many years of digital marketing knowledge, she is delighted to have the opportunity to combine these skills with her passion for the outdoors and travel whilst managing various areas of our online marketing at Dive Worldwide.

Katie House

Having spent several years studying tourism and then working in content and marketing, Katie is a member of our marketing team and manages the website. She loves nothing better than being outdoors and has recently taken up mountain biking and climbing. Some of her favourite travel memories include swimming in the clear waters of Malta and Thailand and next she wants to visit Costa Rica, New Zealand and Cuba.

Carolyn Neville

Over her 20 year or so career in travel Carolyn has held various positions, and applies the vast experience she has accumulated to resolving many of the issues that other people – for whatever reason – can’t (or sometimes won’t) cope with – which explains her hero status within the company. The powerhouse behind nearly all the layers of detailed administrative work, she still finds time to enjoy travelling and is an accomplished field archer.
