Alona Beach on Panglao Island, which is connected by a causeway to Bohol, is the place for divers to stay – peaceful beaches and varied diving.

With good coral gardens near the surface, ideal for snorkelling, and steep walls complete with caves, overhangs and crevices harbouring teeming fish and invertebrate life. Around the small offshore islands (including Balicasag and Cabilao) are strong currents where you can see large schools of fish and big pelagic species such as manta rays and even whale sharks (Pamilacan Island).
