The Thailand Master (formerly the Phinisi) sailing yacht gives divers the opportunity to experience the signature dives along Thailand’s west coast and venture further to explore the Mergui Archipelago. Dive safaris begin from just two nights stay.

The 34-metre long traditionally built liveaboard comfortably accommodates 18 guests in seven cabins all located on the lower deck with porthole windows. All cabins have individual air-conditioning, ample storage space and en-suite shower facilities. There are three double bed cabins which can convert to twin beds, two fixed twin bed, and two quad occupancy cabins with two singles and a bunk bed.

The main deck offers ample space and soft furnishings on the sun deck and shaded areas. All meals are served in the covered outdoor dining area at the stern and inside there is a fan cooled lounge and bar area. The dive deck is spacious with plenty of storage space for kit and equipment. The friendly and experienced crew provide delicious meals, look after your every need, and will guide you along the magnificent dive sites found in this amazing area of the world.

There are four dive guides on board and all diving is from the two tenders. Itineraries start from as little as two nights to Phi Phi and surrounds, a great introduction to liveaboard diving. The Best of Thailand itinerary is ten nights long and includes the highlights of all of the shorter trips; Phi Phi (Southern Explorer), Similan and Surin Islands. Most itineraries start from Phuket and include up to four dives a day.

Diving in this fabulous part of the world offers an incredible underwater experience for divers of all abilities. Expect to see plenty of anemone fish, ghost pipefish, harlequin shrimp, hawksbill turtles and abundance and variety of reef fish. Keep an eye out for moray eels, grouper, schools of barracuda plus dogfish tuna, giant trevally, sweetlips, eagle rays and leopard shark. Sightings of manta rays and whale sharks are also common in this part of the Andaman Sea where the visibility is fantastic and the water temperature around 28C.

In order to join divers must be Advanced qualified with a minimum of ten logged dives. It is possible to complete an advanced course on board (additional charge) as well as hire 15 litre tanks and full equipment. The boat is Rebreather friendly and Nitrox is available (paid locally). A 3mm shortie wetsuit is recommended.
