The site of the infamous Ghost Fleet, Bikini Lagoon is a must for any avid wreck diver. It was here that Operation Crossroads unleashed two atomic bombs, sinking 21 American and Japanese warships in the process. More than 75 years on, technical divers can now immerse themselves in this remarkable history, with liveaboard expeditions offered annually.
Your journey to this incredible part of the world (from the UK) includes an overnight stay in Honolulu and crossing of the International Date Line. Liveaboard duration is dependent on departure, with 10, 11 and 13 night itineraries available. It's a trip of a lifetime!

After your arrival to Kwajalein Airport, a US military base, you will be taken by ferry to Ebeye Island, from where your vessel departs. This afternoon, settle into your cabin, meet your fellow divers and crew, and receive safety briefings ahead of your adventure.
This crossing is more than 400 kilometres and takes between 25 and 35 hours, depending on sea conditions. Prior to making the crossing, it may be possible to complete an initial dive on the Prinz Eugen in Kwajalein Atoll, however this is not guaranteed in the itinerary and is subject to favourable conditions.
The normal diving schedule includes a briefing and first extended range dive after breakfast. After lunch and time to relax, a second briefing and dive will be available. Highlights include the wreck of the USS Saratoga, a vast aircraft carrier allowing for multiple penetration dives, the 250-metre long HIJMS Nagato, the USS Arkansas and numerous smaller destroyers.
Mid trip, only one morning dive will be offered, with an optional afternoon excursion to Bikini Island.
Please note: Divers are responsible for planning and adhering to their own dive profiles and decompression stops based on their training and dive insurance.
Depart Bikini in the early hours today for the long crossing back to Ebeye Island. This is a time to relax and share stories with your fellow wreck divers.
Your liveaboard adventure ends today back in Ebeye, and you will be transferred by ferry back to the airport for your flight home, crossing the international dateline once again. Despite the lengthy journey, you arrive back to mainland USA the same day and spend one night in a hotel near to the airport.
Please note: This trip is best suited for closed circuit technical divers with extensive wreck penetration experience. It is NOT for recreational divers. Additional overnight stops en-route may be required, dependent on flight schedules. You may also choose to add additional overnight stays to break up your journey.
