Embark on a thrilling liveaboard adventure to the seldom-visited region of Alor in Indonesia. Home to some of Indonesia’s most well-preserved coral reefs, thriving marine life and incredible biodiversity, these special departures to Alor are also timed to bring the best opportunities for big fish encounters.

Alor and Maumere are two of the most diverse and exciting diving destinations in Indonesia. Alor is known for its black, volcanic sand muck diving and macro biodiversity, while the Pantar Strait boasts healthy, colourful coral reefs, pinnacles and walls with sharks, turtles and rays. Maumere, located on the north coast of Flores, is also home to a wide variety of marine life, including manta rays, macro critters and stunning topography. 

The timing of this itinerary also brings the possibility of encounters with mola mola and even hammerhead shark. 

Typical Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Depart the UK for Bali, Indonesia

  2. Day 2: Arrive to Bali and transfer to your overnight accommodation

  3. Day 3: Continue to Maumere

    Continue your adventure today to Maumere. Relax in resort and recuperate from your long journey before your liveaboard begins tomorrow. 
  4. Day 4: Embark on your liveaboard adventure

    Around lunchtime today, you join the Indo Master, meet the crew and your fellow guests and settle into your cabin and new surrounds.        
  5. Days 5-12 : Enjoy some of the finest diving in Indonesia!

    Your diving odyssey begins this morning, heading east from Maumere along the coast of Flores towards the Alor Archipelago.

    Enjoy four dives per day for the next eight magical days as you tour this remote and seldom visited region of Indonesia. This area is renowned for its biodiversity, with everything from black sand muck diving sites through to thrilling coral encrusted walls and pinnacles.  

    This itinerary is timed to maximise the chances of some big fish encounters as well, with the possibility of hammerheads or mola mola in addition to the usual array of sharks, turtles and rays. 

  6. Day 13: Your final day’s diving

    Enjoy two final dives this morning before your liveaboard cruises back to port in Alor. The final night is at anchor.
  7. Day 14: Disembarkation

    Disembark today and travel back to Bali or Jakarta to connect with your international flight. Alternatively, speak to our friendly team about extending your time in Indonesia

  8. Day 15: Depart for the UK

  9. Day 16: Arrive UK
