Surrounded by a beautiful lagoon and a long white sand beach, this resort on Rasdhoo Atoll is a small patch of paradise, the ultimate Maldavian retreat.

Located on the Rasdhoo Atoll, west of Malé, Veligandu Resort is the only hotel on the island, which is just 600 metres long. It features 91 villas, the majority being jacuzzi water villas, but also featuring accommodations on the beach. The spacious rooms feature a tropical decor, air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom, mini-bar, king size bed, tea/coffee, phone, TV and safe. 

Dining options include the Dhonveli restaurant, where all buffet style meals are taken, Madivaru seafood and grill (a la carte) and two bars with snack menus overlooking the lagoon. Facilities include an infinity edged swimming pool, gift shop, games room, fitness centre, volleyball court, badminton, water sports centre and dive centre. Throughout the week, visitors are entertained in the evening with a mix of music, culture and conservation talks. Enjoy Asian massage techniques at the Duniye Spa. Complimentary WiFi internet access is available throughout resort.

The transfer to Veligandu is a 20 minute scenic seaplane journey from Malé International Airport.

Ocean Pro Dive Centre

Ocean Pro Dive Centre is PADI affiliated, and there are 20 dive sites to explore both by boat and on the house reef. Marine life is prolific, with common sightings of hammerhead sharks throughout the year and grey reef sharks, particularly in February. Turtles and eagle rays are often spotted on the south side of the island cruising the house reef. Nitrox is available.
