Withdraw to the tranquillity of nature on an island with crystal blue waters, white sand beaches and the shade of hundreds of coconut trees.
Ticao Island Resort has nine beachfront cabanas made from native materials on an isolated white sand beach, with coconut palm trees as far as the eye can see. Each is simple in design with the essentials needed on a remote island; air-conditioning, a private bathroom with toiletries and tea and coffee-making facilities. The private verandah is complete with a hammock to kick-back beach style.
The resort facilities include a combined restaurant-bar area with WiFi internet access, a billiards table and dart board. There are kayaks for guest use and a dive centre on site. There are plenty of non-diving activities to keep guests entertained, including bike tours, cooking classes, horseback riding, walking tours and other non-motorised water sports.
From Ticao Island Resort, guests can access Manta Bowl Shoal, which consists of seven dive sites and access to manta rays all year round. This is the perfect place to truly get away from the world, with warm Filipino hospitality and genuine smiles coupled with some fantastic BIG fish diving you will leave the Philippines relaxed.
Ticao Island Dive Centre
The on-site PADI accredited dive centre has kept a few secrets to itself and offers you an amazing choice for such a small island. Dive sites are reached by traditional Bangka vessels in as little as 15 minutes. Equipment and courses can be arranged at additional cost.
One of the most popular dive areas is Manta Bowl Shoal, including seven dive sites and the opportunity to see manta rays all year round. If that’s not enough, the Ticao Pass is known for its plankton rich water and constant current, offering divers the chance to see larger pelagics such as whale sharks from November to June, and thresher sharks, hammerhead sharks and tiger sharks July to October. The local reefs are teeming with colourful creatures and corals, a relaxing dive in such a full and rich ecosystem.
