Located in a relatively unexplored area of the central Philippines, Sipalay Easy Diving & Beach Resort is small and friendly with a variety of snorkelling and diving opportunities for all.

Set amongst tropical gardens, this small beachfront dive resort features 20 bungalows dotted on a hillside overlooking the glimmering Sulu Sea.

There's a choice of a standard, deluxe or super-deluxe accommodation, all modestly furnished, with air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom and configured with a double or twin beds. For those who prefer, there are also two standard fan-cooled rooms.

Located at the heart of the resort, the beachfront Acuaria restaurant serves all meals (both Asian and Western cuisine) and sunset cocktails. Both massage and spa treatments are available against the backdrop of the sea and a gentle breeze. There are plenty of activities for non-divers both land-based and out on the water including mountain biking, local tours, snorkelling and SUP. WiFi internet access is available.

A little off-the-beaten-track and offering great value for money, this is a fantastic choice for those looking to recharge and enjoy a slower pace of life.

Sipalay Dive Centre

The beachfront PADI 5-star IDC dive centre offers daily house reef and boat diving to the 40+ local sites as well as a comprehensive range of diving education from beginner through to technical instruction.

Dive away from the crowds with the experienced local crew exploring wrecks, searching for tiny critters, drifting along the walls, and observing the biodiversity of the marine life on the coral gardens and offshore reefs. There are sites for divers of all abilities here, including the house reef which is suitable for beginners and an incredible night dive site. Expect to see colourful critters and reef fish, green and hawksbill turtles as well as larger pelagic species on the outer reefs as you dive the sites of Punta Ballo and into the marine park of Campomanes Bay, home to multiple wrecks.

There are five local banca boats for divers, a classroom and a camera room. In addition, there are regular day trips to both Danjugan and Turtle Island (also suitable for snorkellers).

Water temperature ranges from 26-29°C and visibility up to 40 metres. A full range of Scubapro equipment is available for rent, as well as 15L tanks. Nitrox is complimentary for qualified divers.
