Pondok Baruna garden rooms are a haven for divers, conveniently located a short walk from Jungut Batu beach, the dive centre, restaurants and the Sunset Bar, which offers views over Bali.

Located in the block behind the dive centre, the secluded garden rooms are popular with divers. Set amongst a tropical garden, the six traditional bungalows feature a double or twin beds, air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom. The furnished verandah is a great place to relax after a day of diving.

Facilities include a small dining area where breakfast is served, and a communal swimming pool with sun loungers. A short walk to the beach is the Sunset Bar, a popular meeting place for divers throughout the day. The main street is close by and consists of shops, restaurants and bars, including Pondok Baruna Warung, famous for its variety of Indonesian cuisine. WiFi internet access is widely available.

Transfer to Nusa Lembongan is by fast ferry from Bali.

World Diving Lembongan

Located at the heart of Jungut Batu beach on Nusa Lembongan, this PADI 5-star dive centre offers daily boat diving and a wide range of courses for divers of all abilities. The experienced and professional crew dive in small groups with a maximum of four divers to one Divemaster.

Dive sites visited are determined by the local conditions offering divers the very best experience of the 20+ sites around Lembongan, Ceningan and Penida. The majority of divers head out each morning on ‘Big Boat’, a 17 metre long traditional ‘junkung’ furnished with modern comforts and safety equipment taking a maximum of 12 divers. Divers stay out for two dives and lunch is included. In addition there are two fibreglass speedboats equipped to transport up to four divers. A full range of equipment can be rented and Nitrox is available.

Highlights are numerous with incredible creatures on display at popular sites such as Crystal Bay, as well as magnificent manta rays at Manta Point. Expect to dive steep walls, drift along the reef at sites like Sekolah Desar and search for the weird and wonderful in mangrove areas. The reefs are healthy and offer a diversity of life including soft and hard corals, colourful residents and pelagic species. Numerous critters, turtles, sharks and rays are common sights, with the added bonus of a mola mola encounter in season, when the water is a little cooler.

The average water temperature is 25C and visibility ranges from 10-35 metres.
