The Meridian Adventure Dive Resort is an award-winning PADI 5-Star and Green Fins resort, offering something a little bit different in Raja Ampat. The comfortable and clean accommodation is modern in design, covering all the essentials. All 30 rooms are modular, upcycled from disused shipping containers. Each room is modest in size but has all the facilities needed; air-conditioning, en suite bathroom with hot water and amenities kit, and twin or double bed. Daily housekeeping for all accommodation is complimentary.
Guests will not go hungry with the onsite, a la carte, Ketapang Restaurant & Bar. Here all meals are a blend of western and Indonesian fusion plus small plate snacks throughout the day. The resort is easily accessible from Sorong Airport, either by private speed boat or by public ferry to Waisai on Waigeo island. Meridian Adventure Dive Centre
In the heart of the Coral Triangle, where the marine biodiversity is truly unparallel, Meridian Adventure Dive Centre offers exceptional service aboard their custom-built dive boats. From the Meridian Adventure Marina Club harbour, around the corner from the ferry port, up to four dive are offered each day to over 75 dive sites. Pre-arranged dive packages include either two or four dives per day, and can be upgraded locally for those that want to access more dive sites.
From Waigeo island, the famed sites of the Dampier Strait and beyond as far west as Melissa's Garden can be reached. Divers are treated with manta rays, over 75% of the world's coral species, and countless schooling tropical fish. Dive boats are spacious, and at capacity can accommodate 14 divers, however the centre prefers to run just 10 per boat to allow room for all. Ratios are kept small, with a maximum of 4:1 per dive guide, unless otherwise requested by a group. All dive experience is welcome, with such a wide selection of dive sites available around Raja Ampat islands. Snorkellers are either treated to their own boat, subject to minimum numbers, or can join the divers.
Courses are available, all taught by professionally trained instructors and conducted to a high standard. Whether guests are an experienced diver looking to develop skills or make unforgettable memories, or learning to dive in the world leading area of marine life, each diver will be well looked after. On site there's a swimming pool for training, classrooms have air-conditioning, and high quality equipment is available to rent. There's also an open-air camera and equipment set up area, plus equipment storage for all.
