Dhigali Maldives is a luxury hideaway located in the remote Raa Atoll. The premium all-inclusive resort offers a blissful escape and adventure for all the family both above and below the water.

Innovative by design, this ‘long island of light’ has retained 80% of its rich flora and fauna and celebrates tradition by way of exploration and cuisine. The luxurious one-island resort features 176 spacious beach bungalows and water villas overlooking the lagoon, three beach suites and the signature Dhigali suite, a one-bedroom beachfront sanctuary with modern amenities. The beach suites feature an infinity plunge pool, as do some beach and lagoon villa room categories. Set amongst tropical gardens or over the water, the castaway villas are ergonomic and elegant in design with modern, minimalist décor with warm earthy tones. They are all air-conditioned with a semi-open en suite bathroom with shower, have a king-size bed, branded amenities, fan, safe, minibar, TV, tea and coffee making facilities as well as a furnished verandah. Complimentary WiFi internet access is available throughout the island.

Facilities at this premium all-inclusive resort include a wide choice of restaurants and bars serving exotic infusions, classic European cuisine, and traditional recipes. The main restaurant, Capers, is open for all meals and overlooks the ocean. Whether you’re after a light bite, seafood, grill or a pizza, there’s something for everyone here including Haali the popular sunset bar. The large swimming pool offers three tiers, there’s a fitness centre, yoga pavilion, spa, kids’ club, outdoor cinema, water sports centre and a Euro Divers dive centre.

The island is home to over 20 species of tropical birds, an adventurous jungle walk and is proud of the environmental initiatives in place which include reusing and recycling on the island. The resort supports the local community by way of employment and education. It’s possible to visit the nearby islands of Meedhoo and Fainu to learn more about local life.

Transfer to Malé airport is 45 minutes by seaplane or a domestic flight and hour-long speedboat ride.

Euro Divers, Dhigali

Euro Divers Dhigali is a PADI 5-star centre offering daily house reef and boat diving for divers of all abilities, plus a full range of diving courses. For experienced divers, there are over 30 sites to explore. For learners, the lagoon and house reef offer a safe environment and abundance of marine life.

Underwater highlights include encounters with green and hawksbill turtles, eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse, several shark species and colourful coral reefs abound with plenty of smaller fish and critters. Manta rays can be seen at cleaning stations such as Sola Corner (Jan-Apr) and at Hanifaru Bay (May-Oct) offering guests an incredible experience throughout the year. The marine life at Labyrinth is a spectacle, and larger species are common sights at other pinnacle dives such as Vadhoo Thila.

The dive base is equipped with 7 and 11 litre aluminium tanks (DIN/INT) and full equipment rental is available, including camera. Fluro diving is also offered by the multilingual team. Nitrox (32%) is complimentary for qualified divers. Snorkellers are well catered for here.
