Buddy Dive Resort is located on the waterfront just north of the capital Kralendijk and offers informal relaxation, personable staff and spacious accommodation, as well as a lively house reef a stone's throw away.
Accommodation is mainly in apartments of varying sizes, a great option for small groups. All are furnished with a full kitchen, living area with cable TV, air-conditioning and a large verandah or balcony. All rooms enjoy an ocean or garden view. The dive centre offers something for everyone including daily boat diving, courses (recreational and technical), unlimited shore diving and a unique drive-thru area for tanks.
The resort also offers snorkelling and diving courses for children, from 5-14 years old, enabling parents to enjoy their snorkelling or diving, whilst their children spend the morning exploring the beautiful reefs and spotting the colourful tropical fish in a safe and entertaining programme. Children 8 years and above can join the ‘Scuba Rangers’ programme, allowing them to discover scuba diving in a safe and natural way.
A PADI 5-star Gold Palm Resort, Universal Referral (SSI & NAUI) and Instructor Development Centre (IDC) with TDI (Technical) also available, you’ll be hard pushed to find another resort that offers such a broad spectrum of diving courses and activities. Boat dives are offered daily but it is the unlimited shore diving package which divers enjoy the most due to easy access to 60 dive sites. All you need is a pick-up truck; swing by the tank refill, ‘drive-thru’ and enjoy your diving at your own leisure 24 hours a day.
For the adventurous and more experienced, day trips to Washington Slagbaai National Park can be booked locally.
Bonaire offers excellent conditions for underwater photography and the Buddy Dive Digital Photo centre caters for everyone. Average water temperature is 29C and visibility often exceeds 30 metres. The fringing reef is a mere 10 metres from the shore, great for divers and snorkellers! Nitrox and Trimix are available.
