Over a dozen dive sites are accessible by purpose built dive boat, showing you the best the Yaswasa Islands have to offer. The house reef is also a vibrant place to both shore dive and snorkel. The ‘Awakening Shark Dive’ allows divers of all abilities to see these apex predators on a controlled and responsibly managed shark feeding dive. Developed by marine biologist, Dr Thomas Vignaud, these shark dives allow you to see up to 25 bull sharks alongside lemon sharks, tawny nurse sharks, tiger sharks, and silvertip sharks. Divers are positioned on the edge of the reef before the feeding begins. This dive is conducted in two areas, one for certified divers in the morning at 20 metres and the second in the afternoon at only 10 metres of depth. The afternoon dive allows any level of scuba diver to participate in this thrilling dive adventure. To make the most of this experience, we recommend having previous scuba diving experience.
The onsite marine biologist operates a number of projects to benefit the local environment and marine life. This environmentally forward team conduct coral planting, water quality testing, and reef surveys to ensure the health of their reefs and the surrounding oceans are there for generations to come.
