This owner operated luxury resort in Dauin is situated on the beachfront, in lush tropical gardens, not far from some of the best macro dive sites in the Philippines.

Combine authentic Filipino hospitality with pure luxury accommodation and world-class diving at Atmosphere Resort. Featuring 40 suites, family rooms, studios and penthouses; all of which are spacious and feature air-conditioning, TV, minibar, eco-friendly amenities and coffee/tea-making facilities. The Deluxe, Deluxe Superior, and Family Duplex all feature outdoor tropical bathrooms with a shower and personal verandah. The Premium Suites have the addition of a living area and oversized open-air bathroom, the Premium Pool Suites feature a private dipping pool. All Suites are located in lush tropical gardens where pathways leading to the pool through manicured lawns. 

The Studios and Penthouses feature a fully fitted kitchen and dining area. All offer an outdoor lounging area with private seating area, and dedicated bedrooms. These are set back towards the rear of the resort, some with elevated views over the resort and out towards the ocean. 

Renowned as much for its gastronomy as well as its diving opportunities, the resort offers a fine selection of dining options, whether it’s a barbecue on the beach or fine dining with wines chosen from its carefully-selected cellar. Located at the end of the infinity pool, the bar area is the main meeting point for guests and staff to chat about their holiday and diving experiences. The resort has five pools in total, not including private dipping pools in the Pool Suites, these are spread across the beach edge for tranquillity. 

Facilities include the Sanctuary Spa, yoga classes in the treetop platform overlooking the ocean, fitness classes and Warrior gym, and kids’ play centre. The tour desk can arrange outing to discover South Negros Oriental including hiking, mountain biking, whale shark excursions, dolphin watching, and village tours. The dive centre is on site and able to facilitate house reef diving, boat diving, courses and, at certain times throughout the year, camera workshops. 

Atmosphere Dive Centre

The on-site PADI 5* Instructor Development Centre (IDC) offers a full programme of training courses run by multilingual instructors. Photographers are well catered for, with an on-site professional and a fully equipped, dedicated camera room.

Daily boat dives visit the local sites famous for their multitude of rare critters as well as Apo Island which is famous for its large and divers corals as well as pelagic species. Shore diving on the house reef is popular for both divers and snorkellers as are dusk dives to see the mandarirn fish and fluoro diving, which is available. The majority of dive sites are located in the protected marine sanctuaries. Diving with Atmosphere is in small groups, with a maximum of four divers per guide

The underwater highlight here is undoubtedly found in the macro world on most sites, ready and waiting for photographers. Expect frogfish, flounder, nudibranch, octopus, gobies, ghost pipefish, cuttlefish and mantis shrimp and that’s just on the house reef! Dive sites range from gentle sloping reefs, to artificial wrecks, deep walls and fast drift dives. Apo Island is home to turtles and larger pelagic species. The dusk mandarin fish dive is very popular and fluoro diving is an option.

Water temperature is 26-30C year round and dive sites a maximum depth of 30m. Nitrox is complimentary for qualified divers.
