Euro Divers Alila Kothairfaru is a PADI 5-star centre offering daily house reef and boat diving for divers of all abilities. For experienced divers there are over 20 sites within an hour’s dhoni ride away. For learners, the lagoon and house reef offer a safe environment and abundance of marine life.
Underwater highlights include encounters with green and hawksbill turtles, eagle rays, several shark species and colourful coral reefs. Manta rays can be seen at cleaning stations such as Sola Corner and at Hanifaru Bay in season, offering guests an incredible snorkelling experience throughout the year. The marine life at Labyrinth is a spectacle and larger species are common sights at other pinnacle dives such as Miyaru Giri and Vadhoo Thila.
In addition, dolphin watching excursions are possible and the Sea of Stars bioluminescence phenomenon is particularly bright at Vadhoo island in the late summer months. Snorkellers are well catered for here.
