Divepoint Rannalhi

Divepoint are an SSI affiliated dive centre with several bases throughout the Maldives. The dive centre is located on the east side of the island complete with a jetty and easy access to the house reef and dive boats. Fully equipped for training and with plenty of storage space the professional, international crew offer a personal service.

The house reef provides a spectacular display of corals and tropical reef fish, and with a gentle slope to 20 metres, it’s a great site to start learning or get back underwater. Other sites are reached by dhoni and are between five and 60 minutes away offering divers a wealth of experiences and marine life encounters. Expect to see several species of rays and sharks, green and hawksbill turtles, infinite reef fish, tiny critters, schools of barracuda and snapper, Napoleon wrasse, yellowfin tuna and plenty more.

Experienced divers have the chance to explore the protected sites such as Guraidhoo Corner with its diversity of pelagic species, and a wealth of marine life at Kandooma Thila best dived on an outgoing current and renowned for eagle ray and grey shark sightings. On an incoming current, Magu 2 regularly has 40+ metre visibility which is great for spotting the larger marine life on the north wall, whilst the critters can be found on the south – another site with an incredible offering for divers of all abilities.

Full Mares equipment is available for rent as well as scooter and Olympus underwater cameras. The centre provides multiple sized tanks (DIN/INT) and children’s equipment, plus it’s the first resort to introduce ENOS, the electronic rescue system for divers. There is a small tank service charge (local payment). Nitrox is complimentary for qualified divers.
