Phil’s fascination with the underwater world began in Thailand, where he completed an open water course in 2002. By 2005 he had the bug and qualified as a Divemaster before working in Indonesia, Malaysia and Egypt.
Phil finally settled in Thailand, where he ran an underwater photo and video centre with his wife-to-be. He returned to the UK in 2010 and now, as Manager, relishes helping others enjoy the world's best diving destinations.
When Charlie learned to dive off the Great Barrier Reef in 1991, it was love at first sight. A year later he was training as an instructor in Thailand. Eight years and over 4,000 dives later, he returned to the UK to encourage others to fulfil their passion.
A published writer, photographer and underwater model, he has worked all over the world, most notably in Chuuk Lagoon. He has dived in Australia, the Caribbean, Maldives, UK, USA, Palau, Yap and Southeast Asia.
Mat is an experienced Divemaster with a palate for adventure. The Sardine Run remains his most exhilarating experience to date, with its exceptionally close encounters with humpback whales, super-pods of dolphins and a feisty group of dusky sharks at feeding time.
You’ll find him as close to the action as possible both above and below the waves; over the years Mat has been charged by a hippo, chased by a lion, stalked by a shark and stung by a Portuguese Man Of War!
Sarah grew up in Indonesia, learning to dive for her 16th birthday. There was no turning back, and since then she has spent time underwater in the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, the Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia and Australia.
When not playing hockey or squash she is responsible for managing the range of products for Dive Worldwide. She enjoys taking photographs and looks forward to the day she comes face-to-face with a whale shark!
Alex learnt to dive on a coral archipelago off the coast of Venezuela at the age of thirteen and adventure has not been far away ever since. He has dived with great white sharks, fished for piranha, embraced African safari, swam with Cape penguins, tracked giant anteaters, found an anaconda in a swamp and trekked the Himalayas.
When not pursuing adventure or yearning after new dive equipment, Alex can be found as our sales support.
After many years working in travel, Teresa branched out in 2000 to form Dive Worldwide with Chris Breen. This has not stopped the itchy feet, so whenever possible Teresa is off exploring new destinations. She loves nothing better than to explore some of the remote areas, with a special affinity for the Pacific and their many islands.
When not negotiating with tourist boards, airlines and suppliers, she oversees our product development and looks after our finances.
Nick gave up a career in television production to travel around the world, and returned with a serious case of the travel bug. He worked as a leader and tour operations manager before settling behind a desk to help Chris establish an educational travel company, which he ran for several years.
Nick oversees the development of technology that drives the product, marketing, sales and finances of the business.
Chris managed a lodge and worked as a safari guide in Zambia's Luangwa Valley way back when. Subsequent experience in the UK travel industry led him to want to do it properly – which led to the founding of Wildlife Worldwide in 1992.
Chris has also been known to dip his head under the water on a number of occasions. Extremely well travelled, he's widely known throughout the travel industry.
Over her 20 year or so career in travel Carolyn has held various positions, and applies the vast experience she has accumulated to resolving many of the issues that other people – for whatever reason – can’t (or sometimes won’t) cope with – which explains her hero status within the company.
The powerhouse behind nearly all the layers of detailed administrative work, she still finds time to enjoy travelling and is an accomplished field archer.
In a two-tone world of debtors and creditors, Henrieta’s view of life is quite straightforward and uncomplicated – red and black. She arrived in the UK some 18 years ago from Slovakia and worked in business travel handling large corporate accounts.
While keeping a tight rein on our spending, she chases up recalcitrant payers with a vengeance – be warned! Henrieta enjoys cycling and lists Belize and Borneo among her favourite destinations.
An indeterminate time ago Sue left a responsible job as sales manager with a tour operator and headed off to travel the world. Inevitably that experience brought about change and she married her travelling companion on their return.
While now looking after various aspects of our marketing, Sue’s other main love is horses – to the extent that we’re no longer sure of the ranking order between horses, family and travel.
Whilst growing up in South Africa, Estelle developed a deep love for the natural world and travel, and has followed this love throughout her life.
With over 14 years travel industry experience and 8 years digital marketing knowledge, she is now delighted to have the opportunity to combine her work experience and passion for wildlife and travel, whilst looking after things involving our websites and Google searches.
Sally has worked for specialist travel companies for over 20 years and brings a wealth of knowledge of sales and marketing. Now combining her passion for travel and nature, she is delighted to head up the marketing team at Dive Worldwide. Her favourite travel experiences include getting up close to polar bears in Canada, whale-watching in New Zealand and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.
With a love for all things with fur, scales and feathers, as well as faraway places, it was virtually inevitable that Bret would end up in travel. His first job was managing a remote bush camp in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park before he returned to the UK. After taking a year out to pursue his love of wildlife photography in Australia, he was keen to get back into the thick of things and join our growing marketing team.
