Resort based diving in Raja Ampat offers divers and snorkellers a world-class experience and plenty of reward both on the reefs and islands in this remote location.

Renowned as the epicentre of the Coral Triangle, a visit to Raja Ampat is rewarding for both divers and snorkellers, where you can expect an unparalleled marine biodiversity. This is an area of pristine beauty, where 75% of the world’s corals and over 1,400 fish species are found in the protected waters.

Resorts are reached by speed boat and can be visited throughout the year. Scheduled transfers allow for stays from seven to 21 nights. The itinerary below is based on a ten-night stay at Papua Paradise Resort.

Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Depart the UK for Manado, Indonesia

  2. Day 2: Arrive Manado, overnight stay

  3. Day 3: Fly to Sorong and transfer to resort

    You will be met at the airport and transferred to your resort. Check in for a ten night stay and enjoy your first evening at leisure.

  4. Days 4-11 : Dive the spectacular reefs of Raja Ampat

    Your pre-booked dive pack begins today and includes daily boat dives as well as house reef diving. No matter which resort you choose, you will be mesmerised by the marine biodiversity found in this part of the world. Expect plenty of macro life on the reefs as well as huge schools of jacks and barracuda, bat fish, turtles, sharks, rays, huge grouper, manta rays and everything in between. Each resort has a variety of over 30 local dive sites which can be dived throughout the year.

  5. Day 12: Relax in resort

    Enjoy your last day here by either relaxing in resort or organising a local excursion.

  6. Day 13: Fly to Manado, overnight stay

    Today you will be transferred back to the airport and begin your journey home. A further overnight stay is required in Manado due to flight schedules.

  7. Day 14: Depart Manado

    Today you will be transferred back to the airport for your return overnight flight to the UK.

  8. Day 15: Arrive UK

You should note: Diving and snorkelling can be enjoyed throughout the year from some of our featured resorts, others are best visited during the best season due to their location.
