Kerama Island's warm subtropical waters are full of marine life – divers can expect to see plenty of rare marine life and schooling barracuda.

There are also five species of turtle that can often be seen in the water and nest on the local beaches. Visibility usually exceeds 30 metres and there are plenty of dive sites to explore from beautiful coral to wrecks, caves and walls. The islands also attract humpback whales (Feb-Apr).
