The Coral Sea extends to the east of Australia, encompassing remote coral atolls and an exceptionally healthy marine life.
Home to some of the premier dive sites in Australia; expect exceptional visibility, bountiful fish populations and unique pelagic encounters.
The remote Osprey Reef is the highlight for many, with plummeting coral walls in gin clear water. Expect a diverse array of colourful corals, up to 60 metres visibility, shark encounters at North Horn, schooling trevally, beaked whales, dolphin, potato cod, huge schools of tuna, turtles and rare sea creatures like the nautilus.
Manta rays are seasonal visitors and can be seen Apr-Oct. The water temperature ranges from 22-29C. Expect rain in this region during the summer months (Dec-Feb). The Coral Sea can only be reached by liveaboard.
