The original vessel in Avalon’s fleet of Cuban vessels, the Tortuga is a unique floating houseboat, providing a comfortable base for divers wishing to explore Cuba’s remote Jardines de la Reina marine park.
The 34 metre long steel-hulled vessel features spacious, air-conditioned cabins accommodating a maximum of 21 divers. Each cabin features air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom with hot water.
The main deck has a large dining room, along with a generous fore and afterdecks, ideal for relaxing and taking the sun after diving. The on-board chef prepares a variety of Italian and Caribbean dishes, which can be taken in the dining room or outside on deck. Wifi is available for all guests.
Up to three dives are offered daily, with divers transported to the finest dive sites of the Jardines de la Reina by fast and comfortable speedboats. This remote region of Cuba is considered one of the world’s best managed marine parks, supporting vibrant marine life and coral reefs, along with exceptional shark encounters.
