The 29 metre Ocean Hunter lll is a former research vessel designed to a high specification for divers to explore the waters of Palau and the western Pacific.
Ocean Hunter III can accommodate up to 16 guests in three standard and deluxe cabins and two master staterooms; all cabins are spacious and have a private bathroom and air-conditioning. There is a large dining room and a comfortable lounge with sofas and an entertainment system. The boat caters for photographers and supports 110,220 and 415 volt outlets with spacious facilities and extra storage space. With a shallow draft, Ocean Hunter III can visit sites inaccessible to day boats and larger liveaboards. The vessel often positions directly above the dive sites allowing easy access for all.
Seven and 10 day trips operate throughout the year visiting the famous sites of Palau including Blue Corner, German Channel and Chandelier Cave. The trips offer up to 4 dives per day including dusk and night dives as conditions allow. A purpose built 12 metre, rigid hull chase boat accompanies the liveaboard to manoeuvre divers directy to the sites when necessary. Nitrox and Trimix are available and the boat is rebreather friendly.
Itineraries begin and end in Koror. On a typical trip you can expect excellent photographic opportunities at Blue Corner, one of the best wall dives in the world, coral encrusted wrecks, grey reef sharks at Ulong Channel, turtles, eagle rays, grouper, colourful reef and plenty of fish. In addition its possible to snorkel at Jellyfish Lake and do some land tours (by request) at Pelelilu, a major battlefield during WWll. Average water temperature is 28C and visibility at most sites is 30m+.
